I know it ruins the drawing as it hides a lot of detail but maybe it is better if the beard goes over the armor instead of under it?

It's really a form vs function situation. I remember making the decision to hide it based off the idea that, in combat, having your beard exposed could easily be something to get in the way or have your opponent grab or something. If we're talking purely aesthetics, thinking back, I think the beard being revealed would've been a better choice. Thanks for the input!
