I guess it could mean either, although i was thinking more of the colour of the person, since favourite colours aren't too big of an issue once you get past kindergarten...

It's a reference to Homestuck. On this planet called Alternia, everyone is segregated based on blood color, with those lower on the spectrum being oppressed by those higher on the spectrum. The Signless, whose symbol is that black sideways 69-looking thing, tried to end this blood-based racism (blood-ism?) but ended up being killed by one of the "highbloods."

It's a webcomic on MSPaintAdventures.com. It starts out really slow, so a lot of the people like you who found out about it through trolls/alternia wonder whether they're in the right place.

There is a tiny little line going from the top of the O to the U and it is bugging the crap out of me.
And also colour totally matters. I think if you were going for a race comment you'd need to confine yourself to applicable colours. (I have yet to see an aqua-blue coloured person...)

I know, i didn't notice that until after i uploaded it here, so i guess i'd better take care of it now... OTL I hate it when stuff like that happens! 
Yeah, i see what you mean, and i have received that critique on this piece before, but i think the problem is that, since this piece has gotten (weirdly and unexpectedly) popular, a lot of people (such as yourself, i suspect) are seeing it without knowing the context and backstory. See, it's actually meant as a reference to the webcomic, Homestuck, in which some of the characters are aliens whose society is divided into castes based on blood colour (being aliens, of course, they all have weird-coloured blood), and that's where the colour choices came from. It's not even REALLY a commentary on human racism, so much as a work of fan-art that i hoped would also generate thoughts about the foolishness of prejudice. So long story short, i never really expected this to even be seen by anyone who wasn't familiar with that backstory. Guess i should maybe add an explanation in the artist's comments now, huh?
