I see you writher and squirm.Gaping inner wounds,
blood drips from the heart that wants to heal.
Will it ever heal?
There are/were times, I wish/ed my warmth
was all you needed.
There are/were times, I wish/ed all my love
was heeded.
I see his scars bared across his back.
His emotional wars stories,
embedded amongst the cracks.
Will they ever disappear?
Late at night my heart cries out for you.
For your sanity, for your pain,
for peace to reach you.
May we both sleep [tonight].
I see you struggle, at times feel your soul.
The ache is overwhelming, and it seeps into me.
Beautiful darkness, find your way into my arms.
I long for you to be free.
Forgive me for leaving you like this,
All alone, left to your own devises.
Know spiritually I have never left you,
and my heart never will.
