"Did you get along with her besides that?"

"Pretty well, yeah. Look, the best I can describe the whole setup is that we were all part of this really weird sorority."

"Like, how?"

"We all ate together for one thing. We all slept in the same area too. I guess we were like sisters, only we didn't fight or anything. We washed ourselves as group too in this big bathhouse that was on the property."

"Wait, you saw each other naked?"

"All the time," Shannon told her.

"Mom! That's...I mean, that's...kinda weird, right?"

"Not for very long. The mind control saw to that. We weren't self-conscious about that stuff. We didn't feel shame or embarrassment, and we weren't afraid to show our bodies. It was actually kinda nice not having to worry about any of that stuff. We all just got along and worked together."

"Would you say you were friends with them?"

"Honestly, there's no clear answer to that question. I've spent twenty five years trying to answer it myself. We had quite a few happy moments together but I have no way of telling if it was just the result of the brainwashing or if it was actually real. I mean, apart from Gina."

"The doctor got Gina before you, right?"

"Yep."
