Very cool, the reds with the blue background really make it pop out.

I went to see this in Beijing, but it sure didn't look as cool as this the day I saw it. Thanks for this!

Here the square format works really well. It complements the shape of the Aquatics center. The long-exposure lines of the traffic balance out the composition.

We were a few months after you (Oct '09) and unfortunately, it was not lit up.
The good news is that the air in Beijing was still clean from the massive shutdown of industry in four provinces for the Olympics earlier.
But boy did it catch up with us in Guilin/Yangshuo! Tears and choking through towels over our faces for a week. And then it took two of our party of four (including me) four months to stop coughing after we got back.
And we chose to go their last expecting Guilin to be cleaner after Beijing.
WRONG!
As wonderful as the people are and as amazing as the countryside and remote villages are to experience and photograph, the cities are too awful and that saddly was my LAST China trip.
But even hard to reach Funghuang was over run with tourists now too and as much as I loved the place, that was kind of disappointing.
Sad.
