Oh yes! I did indeedy! I've been working and working on them! ^v^ BE PROUD!
Mine's done. Actually, I'm trying to refine your little fox's design a bit more. I don't think I'll be able to manage the long hair. hope you're not insulted. And I'm really tempted to get that new sleeveless, high neck shirt in somehow. Anyway, it's a working! XD

Well you're good with drawing women, so drawing yourself would have been easy lol. And uh...the long hair, you could maybe tie it back in a ponytail or something like they did in some of the animes I've seen? And the shirt's not entirely new, it was just covered by a vest, so you really couldn't see it. ;3 If ya saw the "Just a little smirk" picture, he was wearing it.

Oh! well, thanks! A nice compliment right there! Do you think you're bad with drawing women, Dev? Or.. that I'm not that good with drawing men..? XD Ahah!
It's not necessarily whether it's easy for me to draw one gender or not in this particular instance. It's more about the design energy I have and whether or not I'm happy with the design I get. ^3^ In your case, I wanna make it just right, so I'm spending extra time on Fox's/your design. Hopefully it'll come out successful! n___n
Would you shoot me if I made the hair short? If you really want it long.. I could rework my sketches a little..? I was originally working right off of the idea behind your little deviation here [link] ......... SHOOT. I didn't make the bangs nearly that long!!! @_@ *scampers for a pencil*

I suck at drawing women. -.- I need to like...look at references. Otherwise...who knows how it would turn out.
Well as long as you're happy with it, that'll be fine ;3 You're the artist here after all.
And you can use that picture, it's pretty much the same hair style cut short in the back. Aaaand the bangs don't have to be that long XD

You'll just have to use me! *pose*
ROFL. Sorry, I couldn't resist the opportunity to throw that too. XD References are good. I could draw you a sheet for your personal reference if it'd help?
Oh, I don't care so much about how it will turn out for me, it's whether you'll be happy with it! Silly, silly. ;3
no? they don't? ._. *stares at her freshly edited drawing* ..ah. Oh wellz!

You tell me how to use you as a reference from 3000 miles away and sure. lol. And yeah, I'd love that. Reference sheets are teh awesome. I really need to draw Fox as a human more as well. Do you watch Bleach by chance?
I think I've said it before, so I can say it again... I don't think there's anything you've drawn that I didn't like. ;D
Freshly Edited! Hot Off Teh Rack ;D

You tell me how I'm supposed to use you as a reference from 3000 miles away. ;3 or maybe you don't remember? I was throwing that at you as a joke imitation.
So a reference sheet for female, heee? I can do that. Actually, I'm working on a tutorial for anatomy that has a bit of that. It compares male anatomy to female. Maybe that will help you? Bleach? nah - I've seen a bit of the manga tho. Awesome artwork.
awe! Thanks! I appreciate that boost! ^-^

ORLY. I see how it is. lol. *flails*
Well the anatomy is pretty much the same, I'm just used to drawing the male form...which really differs im the hip and shoulder region. I think I'd suck at breasts too...and maybe the shape of the female head? Maybe the eyes too. LOL *Keeps listing off stuff*

Of course, you're right, but still sometimes we need that little bit of a visual reference to help us differentiate.
You draw some pretty good tomboys and biker chicks. ;]
Hahah - we'll I'll get on that after I've finished a few of my projects then. ^^

ORLY? ΒΊvΒΊ I think I missed that one..! Which one was it? er.... okay, I really have to learn to do things myself.. =_=
*moments later*
LOL. I don't think Fox wouldn't look especially feminine as a female, anyway. It's pretty spot on to me! WAHAHAHAH! And look at her cooshy little face!! x> *squish*
Now, my question to you (to make your life more difficult and all that jazz) ---- fox female.. hUmAN??? Hey? HEY?

lol. I wouldn't mind showing it off if I did it. I'm not shy. The only thing I don't draw is pretty much porn or sexual things. Granted sexual's not too bad as long as it's not like...what's the word...hardcore? lol I suppose if someone paid me enough I might draw something along those lines. I could use the money. ._.;;;
But we'll see..I MAY draw it...just to make ya happy. Lawl.

o_____________O um. RANDOM. ahaha. I would certainly hope you wouldn't draw Human Female Fox in a sexual way and then send it to me! XDDDDDDD I'd probably have to disown you. ROFL.
you can go off on a tangent real good, can't you? XD lol. Well, for me, I can't say I'd do something like that even for the money. But that's just me. n__n Sppeeeeaking of which - I'm sure that if you set your mind to it and had enough sanity in your back pocket, you could do pretty well with doing commission work.
YES! MISS HAPPY PANTS!

No no...can't say I would...because then I'd be putting myself on display there in a twisted way
Certain things I wouldn't do, but some things are close enough to being artistic I could pull it off and still make monies off it And from what I can tell I'd probably make some good money commission wise if I got to decreasing how long it took me to draw stuff. But yeah...who knows. We'll see. e.e;

*nod nod* Good way of putting it.
I take forever to complete something. I just realised that. My friends can doodle like it's nothing and create something in minutes, but meanwhile I'm erasing and redrawing and erasing and redrawing.. and.. :< GOOBERS! I hate how long it takes me now!

I could...I could. I just need to get better with posing. That always seems to consume more time than I'd like.

EpicMyst In reply to Fox-Dev [2008-09-15 19:10:13 +0000 UTC]
your in born tendency to go over the top when you draw. Like I said, sketching what you see is the best way to work yourself out of perfection. ^^
I'd recommend not starting with human subjects, actually. You'll most likely hate this, but drawing inanimate objects is perhaps the best way to start. You work yourself up as you get more comfortable.
π: 0 β©: 1
Fox-Dev In reply to EpicMyst [2008-09-15 22:00:31 +0000 UTC]
But if sought perfection, I'd never finish a drawing. XD
How does drawing inanimate objects help with posing? o.O

wellz, you know what I mean ^-^
I'm trying to help you loosen up, silly! XP Trust me, it'll help you if you can loosen up with your drawing first. That's what it took for me.

π: 0 β©: 1
EpicMyst In reply to Fox-Dev [2008-09-16 02:01:55 +0000 UTC]
=3= you said that you can't draw doodles without going all the way and thusly no longer becoming sketches but full blown drawings.
π: 0 β©: 1
Fox-Dev In reply to EpicMyst [2008-09-16 03:01:25 +0000 UTC]
Yeah...but I fail to see how drawing inanimate objects will help me loosen up. With my luck, I'll try and make whatever it is look detailed as hell XD
π: 0 β©: 1
EpicMyst In reply to Fox-Dev [2008-09-17 17:30:38 +0000 UTC]
see, you didn't quite get the gist of my instructions. XD
I wanted you to try drawing the objects, but with a "time limit". When a time limit hangs over your head it's a fair bit different. So lets say you have a fruit bowl. You give yourself a limit of half and hour to draw that fruit bowl, and this means getting the whole general outline of the bowl done by that time (none of this "I didn't get to start drawing the pear because I was working perfecting the shine for the apple" - that means you're going overboard and missing the point of the time limit ^^).
Then as you start to decrease the time you have, slowly.
π: 0 β©: 1
Fox-Dev In reply to EpicMyst [2008-09-18 02:56:59 +0000 UTC]
Ah. Well you should have just said time limit and negated the inanimate objects thing XD That sent my mind off on it's own tangent in the wrong direction!
π: 0 β©: 1
EpicMyst In reply to Fox-Dev [2008-09-18 20:37:05 +0000 UTC]
*ahem* And I quote:
"I'll work that out of you! I WiLllLlLLL!
or you could just try to draw things in front of you with a time limit. It got me loosened up like nothing."
Silly goober! XD
π: 0 β©: 1
Fox-Dev In reply to EpicMyst [2008-09-18 23:09:10 +0000 UTC]
This is because we ended up with a single conversation regarding two topics. Time limit vs detail, and time limit vs posing. The detail one I can fix with timed drawings. The posing one I can't. And this is not because I get too involved in them, but because I'm bad at posing. So the time limit and inanimate object conversations got intertwined and completely messed with my brain. :3
π: 0 β©: 1
EpicMyst In reply to Fox-Dev [2008-09-25 21:39:51 +0000 UTC]
I can see where you may have gotten confused thar. *strokes chin* REGARDLESS. You catch my drift, yes? 8D
Posing is something completely different, like I was saying. First you tackle your the detail habits with timed drawings. Then once you've got the hang of that you can use models (friends or family that are kind enough not to hate you drawing them and positioning them XD). I recommend doing it in that order because you can get the feel of the pose so much better when you're loose with your drawings. It's easy to understand the volume and curve to things when your not perfecting the picture but just feeling as you go.
I suppose it really wont make sense until you try it. XD
AND I JUST REALIZED. YOU THINK YOUR BAD WITH POSING?! MY LORD THE WORLD HAS ENDED!!!11#!!1!eleven!!/#$ I can't imagine what that must make me then! *flail*
π: 0 β©: 1
Fox-Dev In reply to EpicMyst [2008-09-26 00:16:58 +0000 UTC]
But it's not like I perfect things when I'm posing them. In fact it's kind of impossible because when I attempt to pose things....they're stick figures XD Scribbled stick figures at that. How do you possibly put effort into that? I'm just bad with putting things into poses. Not sure I can't visualize them correctly or what. Foreshortening sucks as well. -.-;;
lol. My characters don't really have poses. Whut teh eff are you looking at?
