No, this is about furry boobs, because instead worrying about important stuff like her character, i.e. how she acts and does things, and her role, your worried about the fact that she now has to wear a shirt and pants like it actually matters. Yes, because the change is purely cosmetic. Tomboys have been known to wear and like skirts. And it changes nothing important about the character.

The point is about conformity. Even if Tomboys don't mind putting ona skirt of wearing femine clothes now and again, what if all girls have to wear skirts because that is simply what is expecte dof them? It just won't be fair.

I never kept up with the Powergirl series and with Archie comics not sold in Britain I have only started with the first few volumes of the series.
And certainly don't have any DC comics so don't really know much of Pwoergirl other than her cartoon coutnerpart.
Eitherway I still stand by my point that Sally should wear what she likes than be made to wear something because she is a girl.

No, it IS because of SEGA forcing Archie to censor her, after 20+ years of having her in just boots & the occasional open vest, all because of stupid morons crying foul about "nekkid"ness when these same hosers are the same people who grew on other anthropomorphic characters being without clothes [Minnie without top in her 1928-1930's design and again in her 2019 redesign even though the show toyed with the idea by making Minnie's "top" be a black shirt that blends in with her fur, Fifi Le Fume being the only one of the 3 Toonettes on Tiny Toons to typically forgo clothes AND being sensual due to her boy/men-chasing as the female pupil to Pepe Le Pew, Dot Warner being topless on Animaniacs, a lot of the Muppets being without clothes, Winnie the Pooh & friends mostly being without clothes because they're sentient stuffed animals, etc.], so they're being hypocritical douchebags, who should shut up about humanoid female animals not requiring clothes, since clothes should only be an optional fashion choice, not a forced requirement to appease ignorantly pussified soccer parents who failed their children & thereby seek to blame entertainment for their own personal fuck-ups). Plus, the redesign harkens to her Mecha Sally arc, which utterly bastardized her character AND because of Sonic Team's biased bullshit of not letting Sonic be in a stable relationship, not only will SonAmy never happen (not that it should anyway, since Amy was 8 when 15-year-old Sonic first met her & she only aged up physically rather than also doing so mentally/emotionally in the post-1998 "Modern" redesign with the now memorable red dress, until the fairly recent comics & cartoons which elevated her character from one-note fangirl stalker to tolerable female companion...but still not on Sally's level, IMHO, since Sally was - outside of human Madonna based upon the "Material Girl" singer - created by SEGA of America as one of Sonic's Knothole Village friends by basing her off of the Ricky Squirrel template from the SEGA Genesis video games, which means Amy Rose more or less stole the position that rightfully should've been Sally's all along, because SEGA of Japan hated the American localization of Sonic for being more popular & wanted to get rid of anything associated with the American incarnation by internalizing the brand, hence why the Freedom Fighters were relegated to a comic book that gamer purists decried as non-canon when Sonic as a franchise is a multi-verse with multiple canonical continuities in favor of the post-1998 "Modern" video games cast that we have had for the past few years), but Sonally has been shot in the proverbial foot to where all of Sally's romantic history with Sonic (or anyone else she's flirted with in general, really) has been scrubbed from record as if it no longer exists, because Sonic Team can't continue pimping out Sonic like a manwhore for money if he's in a solid romantic relationship with any of the girls he's been with over the years (but for the sake of argument, namely Sally or Amy), because his being in a relationship means they'd have do some actual character development & story arc plots that work around the relationships between the characters for their games & they'd rather just rely on slapping some silly gimmick on their titles rather than attempting to try & genuinely invent some believably compelling stories (like drama-focused but not heavy-handed "SatAM" did as a cartoon series & how the ongoing comics used to be [prior to their getting ruined by bad writing coupled with artist's own personal bigoted bias regarding certain characters]).

Your OP Was about how Sally should wear clothes because all the other girls wear clothes.
The picture itself is about Sally prefering her usual duds than the new clothes.
The point is also not all of Sally fans like her because of "furry boobs", just that they feel the fact she is wearing clothes is a change to her identitdy, mainly the fact she much rather have just a vest and be bare like the boys than be expected to wear clothes just like the girls.
While yes she is still Sally, it's merely a cosmetic change, some have trouble adapting to change and fear it (Alicorn Twilight to bronies for example) and best to give it a chance. But I tihnk the Archie Sonic fans think the decission for Sally to wear clothes robs her of some of her identidy that differates her from the usual dressed ladies of the comics.

Ah, but that's the thing, the clothes have their own unique look to them, giving Sally an even more stand out style. I still think all of this is pretty much, exactly the same as people getting pissed over by Powergirl's costume no longer having the near literal boob window. I admit at first I was bitching about the Alicorn episode, but my reasons is because I believe it to be a "jump the shark" episode all because Hasbro wants to sell toys of Alicorn Twilight and I find it disgraceful.
But I learned I was being paranoid, that I feared that the new episode will cause severe drop of interest in the cartoon and the eventual cancelation of MLP:FiM. I haven't seen the new episode yet so I shouldn't really be negative about it.
