Description
It wasn't really any of his business to be helping out, after all, I'os already had one god out for him. But as it was a chance to help people, he couldn't help himself, after all, he knew Esskrr like the back of his hand, which made it easy to show people the safest routes, even if they were a bit long. But this time was different, the newbaby was nearly frozen, the caretaker that had been bringing them to a boat a victim of Gengin's wrath. He had to take a riskier path, one more out in the open, one where it was more likely he'd become a victim as well. But luckily, he was a demigod after all, and his own god would very much like him alive so he could rip him apart himself, so that in a morbid way bolstered him.
The frozen fuzzy child was safely tucked away within his jacket, one arm supporting it as the other shielded his exposed eyes from the blizzard so he could make his way through the storm more easily. He could feel its chest rising and sinking, its breathing not as strong as it would be in an ideal scenario, but it was still breathing in the first place, so that was good enough. Mi'ser I'os was thankful that his legs were still as spry and agile as in his youth, making it through the snow as quickly or even maybe quicker than some of the larger species he knew of. He'd hate to admit it if he were to tell this story later, but his mind wondered as he charged through the snow with the child. Specifically to the rather morbid thought of... well, would he have to bury the parents before the child could come back thanks to Gengin? He disliked that it was a thought his mind went to, but it was quite the thing to wonder, and quite a possible thing to happen. After all, he did have so many guests during and after Gengin had her tantrum each year.
Oh- speak of the abyss. He could hear the infuriated goddess shriek not far away, he internally prayed that she wouldn’t see him, but he knew he was quite bold against the snow covered ground. And he knew as well, his prayers would sooner be answered by that brutish god of pain before any kinder god would answer, or for stars sakes, someone at least more neutral like the head man himself, Xandio. Oh well, it wasn’t himself he was worried for anyway, it was the newbaby. If he could at least get the newbaby safe on a boat, that’d be good enough for him.
May the stars finally protect him for once.
