Description
The Shadow's experiments lead to the observation that devouring the hearts of Mage Beasts empowers the devourer. After a few times eating said hearts of his victims, and forcing Syndar to eat a few herself, he moved to try and increase the effect. The hunger was increasing anyways. Why not consume the whole body? Before he could fully move to the full consumption of an empowered being... namely his daughter, he found himself metamorphosis and needing her to move around out in the open so that he could move unchallenged.

A clash with the Templars lead to the full transformation into the Wendigo. Allegedly he was killed there. Allegedly.
