The southern expanse is largely unexplored by the people who dont live there. Therefore, very few actualy understand the harsh enviroment the inhabitants of that land. The nature of this part of the world forges a survival of the fitest mentality. This dosent automaticly equate to destructive behaviors. However a nation rose to power and based its entire culture and way of life on being the strongest, and therefore, the ones who must always survive. A quote on quote, master people. The Southern Empire's fanatical doctrine was born. Kill the resistant and unsubordinate, martyr yourself for the Empire, and enslave the other nations into the Empire to teach them for ever standing up to them.
Such was the fate of the Aribil tribes and Typga peoples.
The Empire genneraly consists of felines. The larger the higher rabk genneraly. They prefer wicker armor, to keep mobile, rely heavily on large archer regiments, and favor large curved swords like the scimitar.
The Aribil Tribes are fairly resistant to the Empire, trying to keep grips on its old culture, ocasionaly reaching out to the coalition to try to get help. Genneraly to no avail. Meanwhile, the peoples of the Typga have wholey kept thier way of life, building large monuments to thier new emperor and fully acepting the new regiem. Its unsure wether this is simply Empire propaganda, or they actualy somehow intigrated with the Empire willingly.
