It was comfortable. I felt a certain kind of warmth approaching. Soft light gently hit my eyelids. "Good morning, dear", was the feeling I got. It continued with a voice light as a feather, singing the next sentence. "Time to wake up!"
A smile crossed my face. My feelings invited me to open my eyes. Carefully, as if to prevent damage, almost like the world would need time to get used to the company of my sight, I opened my left eye and curiously peeked into the world I had woken up in. Two beams of light playfully illuminated the path near me, as they slightly changed shape in the movement of the leaves above them. I followed the path with my single opened eye, then slowly opened my other eye. I could not remember falling asleep here, yet I immediately felt at home, as if I was supposed to be here. I inhaled the surprisingly fresh air, filtered by the leaves and accompanied by the scent of a lake. I closed my eyes again, and listened to the chirping of the birds in the forest that surrounded most of me. Only then did I notice that the smile was still present. I felt energized. Yes, today would be a great day.

A concept that has been floating in my head for a while now, which I finally put on paper thanks to 's prompt "Fresh".

Many different colours of pencils used, fineliners of different thicknesses, actual leaves from a branch in the hedge that just broke off thanks to the strong wind, and enhanced with Photoshop Elements 8.0.
