[Leela rubs Fry’s back and Amy strokes Fry’s arm, and then holds his hand and strokes it with her thumb. Leela and Amy tell Fry that they miss Bender too, and they both hug him and tell him to just let it out. Leela pulls up a rolling stool to sit by Fry’s side. Fry sniffles, and asks Leela to hold him, so they hug, similarly to how they did in “The Sting”. The others decide to give Fry and Leela some space and leave, with even Amy leaving as well. However, Leela tells the others that she’ll stay behind with Fry for a little longer. Fry rests his head on Leela’s shoulder and just cries while she holds him close, strokes his hair, cups his face in her hands and kisses his forehead, wipes his tears, rocks him back and forth ever so slightly, rubs his back, and tells him to let it out. Fry pours his heart out to Leela, and tells him how guilty he feels about Bender dying, and how he blames himself for it. Leela tries to convince him that it’s not his fault, and that he had no way of knowing that Bender had actually meant it. She can’t stand to see Fry, who is usually so peppy, happy go lucky and easygoing, be so exhausted, depressed and filled with guilt, to the point that she starts to well up. At some point, she climbs on the bed and lays next to Fry so they can be more comfortable. Fry lays his head on Leela’s chest and listens to her heartbeat. Leela holds Fry, kisses his forehead, strokes Fry’s hair, strokes his arms with her thumbs and rubs his back as he cries until he can’t cry anymore. They talk a bit more, and Leela reassures Fry that he’ll be alright, and that things will get better. Fry thanks Leela. They lie there like that for a while until Fry eventually falls asleep in Leela’s arms, and she stays there and holds him for just a little bit longer, until she eventually leaves.]
