Description
This is actually an older photo which I had on my former DA account years back (since removed). It was originally on my old photo website before I moved everything over to Panoramio in order to save money. Of course, Google has since did away with Panoramio. The highest point in Virginia is 5,729-foot Mount Rogers, located in Grayson Highlands State Park and the Lewis Fork Wilderness. This photo was taken along the Appalachian Trail in February 2007. Mount Rogers is in the background. Unfortunately, there is no view from the summit as it is covered with trees.
Hopefully, I can take some more scenic and historic photos in the near future. I currently have very little free time due to work and other organizational activities at the moment.
