I was watching "Naruto" ep.197 and this episode replaced the usual opening with clips from the "Naruto Movie 3". I saw the scene where Sakura throws the shuriken. It looks cool and dramatic. It's so rare that we get to see Sakura kicking butt.I wanted to be sure I didn't make her body look too mature since she's a young teen. Notice the 'slightly' larger forehead.
I put all the background lines at a slight curve to give more of a feeling of movement. My french curve wasn't long enough so I had to draw those freehand for the most part.
I originally wasn't going to post this image until I was done coloring, but the commission I'm working on right now is keeping me far too busy. It's killing me too. I really like how this turned out. Right now I have the drawing on my desk so I can look at it while I work. I have it there to encourage me to work faster so I can color this.
I think I'm going to color this one along the same lines that I did with my Tenten picture.

Very nice, dynamic angling. Love the expression on her face, and the way you drew the shurikens especially. Action poses are so hard to draw, but you did it!
One of her hands looks a little off, though as I can't draw them myself I can't say much.

Both the hands look fine to me. There is the action of mid movement and the foreshadowing.

That's what her outfit looks like in the third Naruto movie. I haven't seen it yet, but everyone is in more warm weather outfits. This time Rock Lee fills in for Sasuke.

Thank you very much. I've already done that angle thing before in a "Bleach" themed image, but as I learned from some great artists, "Changing the framing of an image can add drama to a scene.".
