X-Men: Paralysis[X-Men #202]
This is my first completed 4koma for the X-Men comics and using Corel Painter. Making those dialog boxes were a nightmare with this software.
This comic is based upon events from the "X-Men" comics issue #202, from the "Blinded by the Light" story arc. In this scene the X-Men are buried under a house. Emma was earlier hit with a neurotoxin that has paralyzed her. It is slowly starting to wear off.
I just thought it would be funny to see what if while she couldn't feel anything is Scott had gotten himself a feel. Emma catches him, but much to his surprise she likes it and wants him to keep at it.
As far as the drawing. The first two panels were pretty much the same image. Emma is just copied for each panel. I thought that since she's not moving it would make more sense to just copy her down each time.
Emma was pretty easy to draw and she came out looking pretty good.
I think they came out looking pretty good. It's been a LONG time since I last drew Cyclops. He was tough in a way here. With his eyes covers it's really hard to get him to express any emotion. So I kind of stretched reality an used the same tricks with Spider-man, only a bit more subtle. The shape of his visor tends to change slightly, depending on the emotion.
I hope you enjoy and I hope to create more of these. I actually have more drawn.

A feel, but yes. My favorite touch is that she didn't mind him feeling her up while paralyzed. In fact, she wanted him to keep going now that she can feel it.
They have been lovers in the comics for years now.

Cool. I adore Emma. I'm not too happy how they are making her the Black Queen right now, but I think she's going to turn on Osborn and the Cabal in August and September.
I like her with Scott. I also like that daughter of theirs in the future that has been shown in X-Factor, Ruby Summers.

I love this!! Emma totally stole the spotlight during this storyline. And good job on Scott's emotions. It's very hard with the visor and all... but you nailed it!

Emma's actions during this part of the story was pretty good. Despite how little she showed up.

Anything with Emma, when written properly, is really awesome because of her hilarity when it comes to her direct attitude. She's like Cordelia on Buffy/Angel.

ROFL, that's the best laugh I had in a while. This was never my favorite Cyclops costume, but after seeing your take on it, I am liking it alot more. Also, like the earlier poster said, your emotions/emotes are perfect for both the characters.

I did like your interpretation of it though. The cartoon, Wolverine and the X-Men use this very same one (I think) but they play of the design using a rather long trench-coat (which I am sure you have seen) which I enjoyed. But, I definitely prefer his 90's cartoon look, its the same for majority of the video games he is in as well.

Heh... the sad part is, that's reality. Typically ignorant American cultural stereotypes would say otherwise, but women really are just as (and usually more) perverted than men.

I didn't even imagine that you might've had the slightest problem making Cyclops emote until I read your text. You're so great with the lower face expressions that other than my reflexively tuning him out a little as Mr. Bland, he didn't have any issues. Actually going back and really looking at him, his expression carries off pretty much perfectly.
Also, things like this are why Emma is awesome.

It's normally one of the reasons in movies they don't want to cover a heroes eyes. It makes it difficult for the audience to connect to them and for the actor to emote.
Comics you have more leeway.

I was wondering and hoping when you'd continue. After not checking my account for a few days I find you have and have kicked off your new komas right. I like the way Emma came out, you nailed her look, though I find it funny that you can't see her other eye. I really dig the angle and body positioning, perfect for Cyc to cope a feel, which he did. Looking forward to the rest in the series.
