Description
I woke up this morning wondering if i was being watched by some person who wanted to be "big brother." This led me to the realization that if i were being monitored by some robotic entity that recorded my actions and stored them in a digital file, i would know exactly what the file contained... it wouldn't be my memories, it wouldn't even be my life. The file would and should be labeled "the collection of input gathered from microphones and cameras placed in and around anthony's environment" which if you ask me is not an accurate representation of what a life experiences at all. Nor does this gathered information even begin to describe the actual experiences i go through in my daily life... but, if this is the case, my brain does not comprehend what my body goes through accurately either because for starters, my environment is only being processed by a human brain... this limits my ability to experience the world as any other being like a plant or a bird. Although these are all considered living beings with thoughts of their own, they will never be able to understand eachother accurately without recieving constant input from one another. So, how would a robot know what my thoughts and feelings are if 1984 gave us any inkling of what a police state would and could be? Well, this robot would need constant interaction and would need an overflow of input from a human just to begin to form a half hearted reflection of the human experience... The variables it calculates would have no relation to the bird or plant because it is mearly a product of humans, not birds... but, if the human could imagine what a bird thinks when it sees the human eye through the window, then we would finally understand AI.
