Who are you to tell me how to be?With crimson colored skin I run from judgment I receive.
Each scab represents a time I did not know.
A time I was wrong.
A time I was lost,
And overcome with desire to show.
I used to smile through the doubt-filled gaze.
Sudden confidence from years of dreaming.
Was I right?
Or was It right?
Your arrogance was beaming.
My flaws entwined with your so-called perfection.
Finally learned to accept I am how I am.
I would have damned you,
But I needed you.
Just learned how to give a damn?
Walking in the wrong direction of a one-way street,
I do not see the lights attempting to blind.
Too stubborn to stop.
My legs will not stop.
It feels like Iām back in my mind.
Leaving my cage unlocked and far away,
I descend to where joy will be greeted.
I can slouch when I want.
I can cry when I want.
Admit it. You have been defeated.

you two make an exquisite team!! her picture...i looked at it and first it was like a paradox, because i saw grace, but profane grace. then i read your poem, and understand how you need to make your poems a part of you. i definitly see your style and similarity in each poem you make, i can see this both applied to your life and then to the image. its excellent.

Wow! I love the rhythm of this poem! The rhyme scheme is great. The last line is so powerful, but I love the following the best:

Such a strong emotion.
