at a certain point
the lights go off
so the sun can
rise and another
day can greet
those who sleep
and those who walk
the hours through
with drink or smoke
or thoughts too wide
to touch the day
prosaic and harsh
that only dar can
usher through to
the daily worries
of jobs and checks and
peope to see and people
to avoid and all you
wish is for this to
extend till the sun can
fall and the lights
can fade into bright
once more
