Description
i own little more than these words,
just some paperbacks and broken shoes,
random jewelry i won't wear anymore,
empty cigarette packs and some
scavenged clothing.

my loves have nearly all been fleeting,
though the love is still somewhere
in the back of my mind,
muscle memories of certain smiles
that you won't ever see.

but if you care for me,
you'll want to know this history.
there isn't much to show you.
i have not seen very many years,
even fewer cities, only one country.

but somewhere in the periphery
are all the things i've
yet to have, yet to lose
and you'll one day be
entwined in it.
