Just because text language SUCKS!!! ^^It's really annoying... you can't read a thing they say... *sighs* patheticness...
Well... if you use it I won't like rant about you using it I just don't like it in general... though I'm pretty much used to reading it by now *sighs*
You may use this if you want to... support the writing-ness of english!!!!

like "ttyl" "gtfo" "lmao" "rofl"
they make no sense
but "lol" "brb" "btw" i learned quick what they meant i also use them sorta but i dont think much

gtfo means "Get the fuck out"
lmao means "Laugh my ass off"
rofl means "Roll on floor laughing"

I use text slang for irony, when I just don't have the time, and that kind of stuff.
But I don't use it to argue or have a long conversation! It gets irritating when used that way.

I agree. I do not use "text speak" myself. I especially hate when people argue argue in comments, or on youtube and all you see is this sort of thing:
"Dis suxs! gO dei h8trrrzz!"
that don sux ur a fag!"(pardon the language I see this phrase and similar ones quite often so I'm simply using it as example)
You know? Its ridiculous, and makes them sound ignorant. I try my best to use correct grammar, and proper punctuation. Even when I text, I don't use text speak. I type everything out correctly, I hope more people will star doing the same. ^w^

Well, from my understanding, it's nothing against the text speak itself. Its more against the context in which it is used. Say you were having a conversation with someone on maybe a social media site, and you're typing like this:
Well hello! How has your day been so far? I've been all right myself, mostly drawing.
and then the person you're chatting with comes back with this:
nuthin muh mian! I jus bn chilln and doin whuevaΒ
It gets frustrating after a while since a lot of people overuse text speak, or the make it so you cannot understand them at all. Especially when it comes to things like Youtube, where text speak is only used by hateful, heartless people for the most part. They use it for comments such as "urz a fag!" or "dis vid sux u ned to dei!". You see what I mean? It's the people who have used Text Speak in the wrong ways that have caused the upset among most people. There's always those bad apples who ruin the bunch.
