Description

She strode confidently down the empty hallway.
This was her moment; this was definitely her day.
Today she was going to finally get what she had desired for
all those years.
Yes, today was her day indeed.
As she ventured deeper and deeper into the building,
each and every step seemed heavier.
Her legs started to drag along the floor.
Exhausted but determined, she continued forward.
It seemed as though the hallway was never-ending.
The building felt deserted. Silence was ubiquitous.
There was a faint smell that lingered, but she couldn't
quite tell what exactly it was.
Dragging herself forward as her vision blurred, she
came to view a strange room.
She broke into a run, using all her energy and bringing
herself as far as her legs would take her.
Thud. The girl fell onto her knees, gasping for air.
As her eyes adjusted to the darkness that engulfed her,
she found that she was outside the room.
This was her chance.
Using the walls of the narrow hall as support,
she cautiously stood up.
The room was ancient and abandoned.
Dust and smoke lurked around her feet as she
stepped inside the room. There were strange yet
unidentifiable objects scattered around.
Looking around, a single note was found on the floor.
As the girl read it, a look of horror was plastered to her face.
"We're coming for you..."
Her eyes widened. Tears of fear flowed from her eyes.
Written in a strange crimson substance,
"We're coming..."
