Storms, sunsets, and lightning are three of my favorite things to photograph. I've joked about getting them all in one image before, but I never thought it would actually happen! Although I under-exposed the hell out of basically all of my Last Chance, CO (location of this storm) images, I'm still very pleased with this one. What more can I say? It looked incredibly and I'm certainly lucky to have witnessed it
Please tell me what you think!

Now I'm not a photographer, so I wouldn't know exactly what underexposing the picture did, but I think the picture is perfect. It already puts the focus on the storm and that should remain the focus I think.
I'm kinda a weather nut, and I have to say that's a breathtaking picture. You can see the strong rotation of the storm on the left and the wall cloud at the bottom right of that. I would've been surprised if it didn't spawn tornadoes!

Thank you very much
Yeah, it spawned 2 tornadoes before this point

Eh, I'd say the underexposure does good things to this shot. Really helps emphasize that the storm is towering over you, and that lightning just makes it look like it's reaching out to touch you. Also makes for a disturbingly 3-dimensional image (in a good way!) when you focus on the top half.
And I suspect the sun is saying something like "screw this, I'm outta here!"
That is pretty freaking sweet that you got all three in one shot though. I did that once before ([link] ), but the sun had already set in my shot.

Thanks! I suppose if I had exposed differently, the lightning may not have turned out so well.
Nice shot!

True that. And even if you had, I see that shot as having quite the challenging lighting, so if nothing else I'd still have to respect the effort taken.
Thanks!
