A Bersezio, un paesino nelle Alpi del Piemonte!
In quei giorni c'era un cielo fantastico, poco inquinamento luminoso e la via lattea si vedeva così bene anche a occhio nudo!

Canon EOS 550d, ho già fatto dei tentativi ma visto che sono alquanto un ciospo e ne so poco o nulla escono sempre sgranate -_- MA non perderò le speranze e continuerò a tentare

Non disperare, la 550D ha il sensore uguale alla mia 60D!
Il segreto è trovare una combinazione tempi/iso che si adatti bene e non rovini troppo la foto. In più una cosa molto importante è settare la messa a fuoco manuale PERFETTA e purtroppo lì devi fare molti tentativi. Il cielo deve essere limpido e non devono esserci fonti di luce (quindi scattare in città o vicino a una città in campagna è impensabile per l'inquinamento luminoso che c'è!)
Ovviamente nella mia foto c'è anche molto photoshop: ho dovuto alzare almeno di +1 l'esposizione, aumentare il contrasto e la "distanza" tra le luci e le ombre.. Purtroppo questi cieli stellati non li ho tutto l'anno e avrei preferito uno scatto "meno noioso" però molte volte sbaglio i settaggi o la messa a fuoco e mi devo accontentare degli scatti che vengono fuori decenti

Io ho fatto solo un tentativo circa alla cieca, per provare il treppiedi che avevo appena comprato, ed ero in campagna, in un punto dove la via lattea si intravede molto vagamente dietro (il che è già tanto, qui è difficile trovare un posto senza nessuna luce vicino -.-"). E giustamente mi è uscita una cosa terribilmente sgranata, avevo un'iso troppo alta (mi pare 400 ma potrei sbagliarmi, forse era di più, dovrei ricontrollare 
Beh Photoshop è spesso e volentieri la salvezza dell'umanità XD
Secondo me non è affatto uno scatto noioso, anzi, magari i miei decenti uscissero così

I sensori canon fino alla 7D sono tutti aps-c e non full frame quindi in teoria la qualità è sempre la stessa.. anche se nelle nuove macchine esistono strumenti più avanzati per il controllo del rumore che sono molto utili.

Ovviamente l'ho impostata su manuale. ISO: 800, Tempo di scatto: 30 secondi, Diaframma: f/2.8.
Ah dimenticavo anche il diaframma è molto importante per un buon scatto alle stelle, se lo tieni troppo chiuso rimarrà scurissima la foto o dovrai alzare tantissimo i tempi. Che obiettivo hai tu?

Io ho usato, per provare, 30 secondi e ISO 400 (ho controllato nei dettagli XD La mia memoria è deprimente :facepalm), con f/3.5 (tutto ciò a cui sono riuscita ad arrivare, doh).
Io ho l'obiettivo base della macchina, il 18-55, per ora le mie spese sono limitate a questo

Purtroppo l'obiettivo fa molto! Io ho il sigma 17-70 stabilizzato.. un diaframma di 2.8 è già molto più luminoso di 3.5 e in condizioni di scarsità di luce aiuta sempre.
Prova ad alzare un pò gli iso e vedere come rimane.. poi piuttosto vai giù pesante a ridurre il rumore in fase di post-processing

Amazing! Very clean night sky photo, usually most of this kind of photos have noise or are blurry. Of course the quality gets lower when zooming, but when unzoomed this is just perfect.
I assume this is taken in countryside?

I took this with 800 ISO and it is quite good.. but in larger view you can see the noise very well XD I should have a better lens (a brighter one) to shoot at stars but for now I just have this one

I'm interested in photographing stars as well, but I have only 2 average kit lenses and I live in place where is some light pollution, so it could be hard to manage to take as awesome captures of stars like this one.

These kind of shots are really difficult because also in high mountains nowadays there is light pollution.. I think that a very bright lens (I tried to use my 50mm f/1.9 but it cut too much sky) should be used for this because with long exposure (30sec) stars begin to leave a trail..
The best scenerty would problably be walk near a mountain hut and shoot there..

Thanks! I always bring it because I love long exposure shots and I hope to use it.. Anyway I have a special bag (this one [link] ) that is so confortable, I can bring my canon, my three lenses and the tripod and it won't be heavy at all!

It was just a beginner's class, but that's what I needed. A foundation. And it didn't break the bank.

That is a lot! My class was $80 (and I think worth it). For starters, it got me to switch from JPEG to RAW format. That should make a huge difference. But I guess we'll see.
