What the concept is, is that Toxicity was being eaten, or controlled by her wrath butterfly. It had " eaten " her wings and turned them into sticks, and pushing blistering hot crystal through her back, and slowly engulfing the rest of her body in it. The crystal starts to float around or under the remains of her wings, having a Flandre Scarlet-like look to them.
The crystal is supposed to turn a red when a victim is found, due to all sanity drained by wrath.
Wrath then feeds off of the victims' fear, or devours the soul entirely.
