Normally you like to work with oranges, yellows, and browns, which gives an organic look, in my opinion. Your work looks equally as good, if not more stunning in blue! I love the colors in this one and especially the stars. It looks very dreamy, which is one of my favorite things, being a dreamer at heart.

I would've named this piece "Belighten", but whichever case, a rose is a rose is a rose and this one smells very sweet.

wow, this is great! I'm just wondering, for the speckled star effect, do u use a paint splattering technique? Also, I heard that it's very hard to do shading with acrylics since they dry so quickly, what is ur opinion on this and how do u shade? Thanks for all of the help! c1rag

yes i use a paint splattering technique. well, yes it's very hard to do shading with acrylics. if you shade with acrylics and water (just like watercolour), you must paint FAST before it dries quickly.

thanks, I was talking to my art teacher today about shading with acrylics, she ended up saying that it is easier to do minimalistic works with acrylic sine they dry quickly, I'll have to try the water for shading purposes. I have my first composition skecthed out! It's a simple picture of a minimalistic penguin with snow flakes falling down around it, my main problem is that I don't want there to be too much blue, I figure i'll make the sky a semi purple/blue color, and then make the snow a white with just a touch of blue in it, and a i'd add a bit more blue for the shadows of the penguin, and then I was hoping to make the penguin blue, like a bright blue, Another way I might go is to make it like a snow angle, only I'd have it be a snow penguin where the penguin is in white, and it has a golden halo over its head.

As usual, your textural elements are well composed and stunning, using the slow-blended background to accentuate their presence and impact.
Your style is unmistakeable, as is your talent. Such an aestheticly sensitive artist.
