Near the 1993 FFP's closure, Fazbear Ent. took one last risk.They had Freddy and his friends redesigned for the last time. These updated looks were a blend between the Classics and the original FFP's characters. The Classics' suits were stored and were unnaffected by the test of time.
These refurbished suits, however, were left to stand in their designated spots for years and years. Freddy has naturally decayed over time. His microphone had fallen, and the animatronic never picked it up again.
Based on Freddy's FNaF3 minigame sprite. Albeit loosely.

Perhaps this is the Retro Freddy that TFF was talking about? The Freddy in the minigames and the Freddy on the posters are very similar, so I wouldn't be surprised
