Description
Finished the COPIC color version of the cover for the next Endgames book. A lot of the time i was working on this I was not happy with it, and I still don't feel like its successful with the kind of dramatic lighting i was hoping to get to. It will work, it experimentally it goes in the right direction, but it might take some more pushing on my part to be more bold with darker colors to really make this work. İt is amazing. I can see clearly all parts of drawing. Just I think ( just my opinion !) her thumb is shorter than normal. And I love your characters .I want to read stories of them but unfortunately I can't understand english much

I think you're right about the lack of darkness - really dramatic colouring needs contrast. This is a kind of HDR version of what was almost certainly in your head, if you see what I mean.

Amazing piece of art, Fred. I love her expression and the stacks and piles of books.
But to be perfectly honest, I'm slightly distracted by the incredible variety of art supplies...
EDIT: and a switch in the piece negates the second part of my comment...
