Description
Our solar system.Planet sizes are scaled: 1 pixel = 640 km (384 miles)
Planet distances from the sun are scaled: 1 pixel = 2,000,000 km (1,200,000 miles)
(Note: for aesthetic purposes, planet distance has been measured from the surface of the sun to the surface of the planet)
Yes, pluto is in here ... cheers to those who can find it.
Sorry for such large resolution but I really wanted to capture the sense of scale with our solar system.
Enjoy...

This is sweet - dig on the fact that you did the planets and distance to a scale.

everything looks great, i really like it. one thing though, as an astronomer i feel obligated to say this one thing: saturn should be casting a shadow on its rings, but that shadow appears to be missing from this piece. overall its great

That is very uncommon for DA and therefore really nice! The planets look really "real" (except for Uranus, does it really look like this?) and the different sizes come out very well.
Good Job!

C'est en effet un travail qui a ete realisΓ© des centaines de fois, mais celui est tres bien fait.
Et si le soleil etait animΓ© ? Avec dses eruptions de surfaces ?

Well I guess this sort of pict. has been made before,
but this one is done quite well. The planets look great.
I don't mind the large res., I think it would be even cooler if it was even longer.
Jupiter and Saturn would not interfere so much, and you would have to scoll even longer to get to Pluto.

Nice effort, failed in the finding Pluto stakes though... We sure are small compared to those other giants
