Either way, I wish I had one of the newer-gen consoles... especially the Switch... I really want to play some of those games! But the Switch is monstrously expensive to me and I don't have much space in my room...

Yeah, I also would like to have a Switch, but I just can't justify that expense for a mobile game console that I would probably rarely use. If it was half the price tho.

I guess I need to wait for awhile before I can get my hands on one... maybe when I can get used ones that still work for a cheaper price?
And I would mainly use it at home and never take it anywhere on the go. Why? Because if I did, they would end up like most of my Nintendo DS's and 3DS's, unable to be used anymore...
I recently lost my only remaining regular DS to damage issues, as, whenever I put any kind of pressure on the system, even something as simple as pushing a button, it automatically forces the machine to turn off.
And I got a 3DS XL recently that is not compatible with regular DS games, so unless I get a regular DS again that was used and still works, I can't play any of those DS games that I love so much, like Pokemon Conquest, Elite Beat Agents, Dragon Quest 9 (my intro the the Dragon Quest series as well as JRPGs in general), and my absolute favorite on the system, Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime. (Yes, that is my favorite DS game on the system! Deal with it!)

You are just not careful enough with them... or maybe I'm too careful? I never broke a phone, nor any of my tech gadgets. But I must admit, anything with buttons can broke really fast. And in case of a Switch, I dunno if you can replace the side controllers without buying an entire new device. Not to mention how expensive the games are. And exactly because of this reasons, I'm not sure if a used one would be a good idea. The last time I bought a game console, was a used Xbox. The original Xbox. Yeah. The thing is, the console itself is probably fine if you buy a used one. But the controllers are always in bad condition so you need to buy new ones. So what's up with that? If we can't buy you side controllers for the Switch, used ones are probably be in bad condition.
