Comment: This image blows our mind, it was one of the first Earth from space night images that we saw. See twitpic.com/photos/Astro_Wheels for Out of This / Off World views. This image uses raw satellite image data (no astronaut photography). We're aware that on a CRT (old) monitor this image can be almost unviewable but on LCD it works (this dark). Bright areas of note include the Nile Delta in Egypt, the Trans-Siberian Railway cities, the Mediterranean coast and NYC megacity.
