Description
This piece was born from a fellow deviant artist's recollection of Warsaw as a young child. This down-to-earth, nostalgic scene transpired close to or just in front of the Polish capital's monolithic monument to John Sobieski. As I began to configure compositions for this illustration, I kept in mind his description of a man standing before a basin filled with soap and water, wielding a bubble wand that released bubbles the size of his stature as a four year old. Thank you for the inspiration.A live demonstration of the Bubble Spectacle in Warsaw's Town Square. The enthusiasm of the children is especially beautiful to watch. Such simplicity, a pure moment.

My goodness, was Danielle doing watercolours? That's unheard of!
Well, I like it, anyway. If I may inquire, who was the inspirer? ...As if I need to ask right?

You are deceived...the Warsaw illustration was in fact a combination between diluted acrylic and exceedingly thin micron markers. Hence, I have not sacrificed the solidity of my work to watercolour yet! The inspirer, however, is a magician of the watercolour medium. Miko relayed this story to me once and I gained his permission to render it as a live action scene in the Polish Capital's city square. It is an endearing piece, close to my heart.

Oh, how did I know? Yeah, I figgered it was Miko. And... close enough, man.

Yes, his endearing recollection of early childhood in Warsaw inspired one of the most heartfelt sketches I've produced to date. The little Miko in the picture was a combination between a photograph and my own imagination. Although, I believe I outdated his outfit just a bit. The scene seems as though it occurred decades in the past as opposed to the 90s.

Hmm, perhaps, but that kind of adds to the mystique of the piece. I like it.
