I’ve been seeing people post their photos of them back in 2009 and comparing to how they look in 2019. Then I kept seeing artist show how much they have improved from 2009 to 2019. And I thought that I might jump on the chance to do a decade redraw of a drawing I did when I was either 10 or 11. I went through the one sketchbook I had that I’m certain has mostly drawings done from 2009 and one of the drawing is labeled “teenage me.” What’s funny is, the next page over in the sketchbook has the same drawing traced and is like a scene depicting me in public high school. Which jokes on little me, I was home schooled in high school. I’m not sure what I was going for in the past, but it certainly brought back a lot of memories. I’ve been doodling, sketching, and drawing for so long now and it’s still so enjoyable even after 10 years. I hope to keep improving as time goes on, but for now, I’m happy where I’m at. But I do wonder, what will my art look like ten years from now? Will I still be saying the same thing? Who knows!
