Description Lovely weather today.

NS therefore imposed a much expected flash flood restriction on the Washington District, which made the already delayed 337 (seen here slowing from a speedy 12 MPH - I clocked it) even later, and nixed the 335 entirely. I caught the 333 at Clifton around the same time the 337 usual rolls through...

One user (presumably a VRE rider) commented on the VRE Facebook page, "Flash flood speed restrictions are the worst! They are not timely and they ruin everyone's commute home!" to which another user commented back with a delightful dose of sarcasm, "You know what ruins them more? Being washed off the tracks."

I was rather inclined to agree.

Nice shot. The weather even jacked up MARC trains. By the time I left work at 5:30PM, all Penn Line trains had been delayed indefinitely due to damage to the R-O-W. Brunswick Line trains also had massive delays with at least one being canceled outright. Not a fun day for anyone.

Beautiful lighting and composition. Yes, rain makes for slow travel and great photography.

Nice low angle! Like how the rain is visible in the headlight beams.

Could be worse. Rain was so bad in Toronto today, that Union Station got flooded. No trains in nor out; everyone had to be bused in from outlying stations.

The rules of the rails are written in blood, as its been said... and I guess, sometimes blood mixed with water, too...
