Kithood [0-5 moons]

Bearclaw was a big cat with few words who fell in love with the sharp tongued she-cat Darkfire. Bear gave off an unapproachable appearance that often scared other cats. Darkfire wasn't intimidated by him one bit. When they first met she had started a commotion with her ex-mate, Birchstep. Bearclaw had stepped in to stop the male who grew angry. Bearclaw didn't like seeing Darkfire cry. He comforted her and they grew closer.

Darkfire gave birth to three beautiful kits. She named the first two Bluekit and Pebblekit. The third she couldn't come up with any names so she asked the queens- they settled with Rockkit. It didn't quite fit him. His mother knew this and didn't like the name but she knew he needed one before he grew.

Rockkit never really got along with his siblings or the other kits for that matter. He was a very loud kit which annoyed others. Even his father got annoyed easily. This didn't deter him from playing around. His mother noticed that her son was always getting dirty after playing with his siblings. He had to frequently go to the medicine den to remove bugs. He attracted more insects than an elder. That's when his father started jokingly calling him Bugkit. It stuck, however.
Apprenticeship [6-12 moons]
Bugkit was excited to become an apprentice. He would finally be Bugpaw along with his siblings. He was given a she-cat called Runningbush as his mentor. He didn't listen to her for the first few days under her wing. She had a lot of patience for this kind of attitude though.

bugpaw didn't listen to runningbush while out on his first patrol. this had consequences. bugpaw ended up getting chased by a nest of wasps. Then, he got sick afterwards. He didn't get to train for a week. He started listening to her more after that.
Warrior [12-Current Age]
Bugpaw became Bugcatcher. It was the most boring ceremony of Bug's life. He was more excited for other apprentices getting their names than his own. His brother Bluenose even had a better ceremony. Bug felt disappointed. He had thought becoming a warrior would be exciting. He felt the same.

Bugcatcher was worried that his siblings would outshine him as a warrior. He didn't want to be pushed to the side by anyone.

He mourned the loss of his former mentor Runningbush who was killed on a patrol. No one really told him exactly what happened. Either out of pity or they also didn't know. He hoped to learn someday.
