In this third video, we will find that in any story about war and revenge. What you sow and what you reap doesn't exactly match up 1 to 1 for anybody involved. This audio is recorded by Chico who was captured in an attempt to rescue Paz, where he was captured himself. In this audio we hear how Paz really was a spy and may have had something to do with XOF shutting down FOX. But as I understand it, Huey is ultimately the person that left them open to attack and while Paz was a spy, I guess she became friend or family regardless. Just a word of warning that almost a 3rd of the way into the audio recording, besides getting tortured in front of Chico, Paz is also raped. The villain, Skullface, uses this psyche breaking event to pervert Chico in a way and to almost fetishize his love for Paz into disdain for her that almost setup Chico as one of the bad guys in MGSV: TPP. I'll let you listen and by the end of this for all intents and purposes, she most likely was already dead or wants to be. In the way that she betrayed her only friends, only to have them attempt a rescue for which she probably didn't think she deserved. The rape and sexual mindfuck that Skullface uses on Chico, also turning his crush to blind love of her into disgust and perversion.

Anyway, you probably know the rest, but these three sides of the story show her remembered as almost an angel that knows the truth and cannot move on unless idealized perceptions of her are let go. It shows that she isn't just a dumb bimbo and believes that her revenge is justified no matter the peace her soul is feeling with Boss' crew. The last is a boy in love with a girl that no matter where his heart is, it doesn't help his skill as a warrior. Given his amount of courage, his knight to the rescue routine had zero chance of happening. Instead the girl he loves is now tortured, disheveled, not moved to love by his courage, almost annoyed by his presence and coerced into thinking that she really is an evil whore and trash that deserves not only being raped, but debased to the core for spurning him.

No clear winners, no clear losers in a war where if your life isn't lost immediately, then odds are your soul will be. So yeah, the tragedy of Paz and how her love deterrence, impeded the peace she wanted and only escalated the war on her very being. A false peace with very real death not avoided, but delayed, just like a real nuclear deterrence...
