Description

Woah there, before your Roid Rage™ Flairs up (hemorrhoid rage... that is) we are going to make sense of this.

The internet defined the notion of a fleeting moment a few years ago that I kind of liked: "For a fleeting moment, one could capture a state of congruence between self and world. The impact, more or less, of each fleeting moment is held in the perceiver's (sic) memory. This was a sleight of body, a fleeting moment in a storm of actions." That's not Webster having a stroke and spouting word salad after joining the pink team either. Last time I read, a mental snapshot records not only what you remember (oddly enough the least reliable account given time), what you see (2nd least reliable given your 2kb memory), what you hear and mostly what you smell (the sniff being memory's ideal form of recollection). In the ebb of time, I'm sure this gif has went from super cool, to lame as fuck to america's next top shit smearing retard to mildly embarrassing and back to cool again.

Well its up to you, how cool it is or never was. What we are seeing is certainly history doing that foreboding thing before repeating itself. Before wrassling was all that. These dudes and jaboroni's dressed up as Super Heroes, Greek fruits and American History's greatest mass murderers for Halloween or whatever this is... MLK's b-day possibly. Now with the exception of Tito Santana as Zorro, Bobby Hennan as Tickle Me Alamo and Nickolai Volkov as Curly from the Three Stooges in a Robin costume. These guys are either on par or arguably more famous than who they are dressed up as. Which is weird cool and thought provoking... I think.

Anyway, correct me if I am wrong. A guy named after the Marvel's Hulk or just it's meaning (think Arnold Schwarzenegger crapping out a Hulk of pure muscle) dressed as Apollo (the one played by Brad Pitt years later in Troy). The Iran Sheik as Batman (this was when terrorism was vaguely lovable), Hillbilly Jim as a Musketeer in all it's surreal glory, Macho Man as Tarzan and Ms. Elizabeth as Jane (pre-prescription pill vacuum), some 7ft bearded pimp in the back there, Capt. Lou Albano as Zues shortly before playing Cyndi Lauper's and before playing Nintendo's Mario, the guy infront a mash-up of serial Killer Ted Bundy and King Kong well before doing Moving with Sir Richard Pryor and Mean Gene as a Pumpkin Wizard.

I guarantee the next Halloween each one of these guys had their own best selling Halloween costume. Yes, even Tito Santana. Don't underestimate how cool of a costume a headband and a taco was in the 80s (by the way, that wasn't my stereotypical racism... it was Bobby "The Brain" Hennan's description of TS' once or twice a week back when.
