Build: Thick and compact build, with a longer neck and short (but strong!) legs. Has a high set tail
Mane & tail: Pulled out mane with a mess of colics and whorls, one long dreadlock at the base of his mane. Medium length tail that has been thinned out, also very messy.
Eye colour: Cyan, green/blue

TEMPERAMENT

Adventurous

"What's that sound from the forest? I should go check it out, who knows, it might be friendly!"

Finz lives on the adventurous side, often exploring new places for the most lovely sights and sounds. He thirsts for new lands and experiences. He tries to do his adventuring as carefully as possible, to avoid trouble, but it has gotten him scolded once or twice before. Finz's experiences traveling has given him a great amount of knowledge. He knows the forests and the animals in it and can tell you where to find a particular bird, why you shouldn't eat that flower, or what left that track in the mud. If you're nice he might also tell you where the best grazing is.

Friendly people pleaser

"Oh, you wanted -this- apple?.... Sure, you can have it. I'm sure more will grow next year..."

A good day, to Finz, is a day that he gets to talk to many new horses and help them out when he can. Sometimes he'll go a little too far with his helpfullness and will greatly inconvience himself in his effort to make others happy. He gives others more than once chance and will frequently make excuses for rude behavior when first meeting someone. His not a pushover, however, and will respond with just as much rudeness if it turns out you weren't just having an off day. He might try to extend the hoof of friendship, but if you aren't worth his time he'll give you the once over.

Smart

"It's Simple, m'dear! The only thing you have to do is..."

To cope with his smaller size he developed quiet the head on his shoulders. Quick qitted and a able to see past the bigger picture Finz would be a master chess player if he were human. He uses his smarts to avoid confrontation, often being able to out manuevure and trick his oppanent. He uses his knowledge of the forest against others, if the situation comes down to it. He's a good stallion to ask for advice, as he can often come up with new solutions to old problems.

Dedicated

"You're my friend. I will always be there for you."

A friend in need is a friend indeed. Finz is a very dedicated and loyal friend, often forming very close friendships that go far beyond your standard friendship. He is a true friend who will walk through fire on a hot day just to get a smile.

Outspoken

"But that's not fair, you can't just do that to someone!"

While he tries to avoid confrontation, Finz will never turn his back on someone being treated badly. Despite his intelligence he can't stop himself from speaking up against injustice. Even in the face of harsh punishment he will be as loud, annoying, or cunning as it takes to stop the mistreatment of others. He is a strong spirit that cannot be oppressed. It's not to say he hates authority.. Just the abuse of it.

Conhorse

"Let me tell you, ma'am, I know a plant that will cure all your problems. Make an offer and I might tell you where it is."

After he escaped from his brother Finz had to fend for himself somehow and unfortunately this came in the form of using his smarts to trick others out of their possessions. His verbal prowess allowed him to tell stories so vivid that they just had to be true, right? He justified his actions by preying on horses that were cruel, stupid, or 'deserving' to have their things stolen. Eventually as he got better and better it didn't matter who he preyed on. He became addicted to stealing and eventually.. Careless. (Plot pending~)

Emotionally Distant

"Oh, uhm.. I'd rather not. It sounds fun but.. I'm busy that day.."

Because of his guilt about his past Finz tends to keep horses at legs length away. It's not to say he doesn't love talking to others, he just doesn't get very emotionally invested. It's hard for Finz to call others 'friends'. And because of his distant nature it can be hard for others to chip past the walls he put up around himself. Not that many have tried...

HISTORY

Not many had seen a pair more perfectly meant for each other than that mare and stallion. The stallion had be a devout believer in the unircorn god, living by the words as if every step he took was a direct command from from above. It had surprised everyone when the stallion, who previously showed no interest in courting, decided to persue Talia. The mare was shy, reserved, and never really spoke to anyone. But she was beautiful. It took months, even years, for the stallion to win her heart, spreading his word and slowly winning the mare over, bit by bit. When she finally relented it was agree'd by nearly everyone that they seemed quite perfect for eachother. His devoution had rubbed off on her and together they prayed the days away.

Their first foal was born not very long after. Whisperings of the herd said it might've been too soon after for the stallion to have been the real father. The foal, named Lai, looked nothing like his supposed sire. The mare became bitter with time, resentful towards the foal. It wasn't Lai's fault what he looked like, but the harsh whisperings of gossip hungry horses wore on his mothers temper. She kept the foal away from the other members of the herd, fearful their talk would get to the colt. And more fearful the colt would some way make the others believe for certain that the colt was concieved under unscrupulous terms.

Her second foal, Yuan, was recieved much better than his brother. Yuan looked MUCH more like his sire, and acted much more like him as well. He was enough to make the overbearing gossiping about her morals stop, or at least move behind closed doors... So to speak. Yuan was still kept away from the others, but was treated much kinder than Lai had been. It was nearly five years before the mare was blessed with another foal.

Finz was born quiet small. He was healthy, but small. His mane was always messy and his tail was frequently held near straight up. His comical looks and explorative nature brought him much attention. The adults loved to watch the colt bound about wildly before tripping over her short legs and faceplant. He was the epitome of what a foal was supposed to be. It didn't hurt that he was the near spitting image of his father, leaving any doubts about his mother in the dust.

Life was good for Finz or a while. But being the star child is never easy. Finz had is lucky. He was adored by many, his parents had never been happier, and his mothers cold heart had melted a little for the tiny tot. It would make sense for those who weren't as blessed to become envious. Lai was fiercly jealous of the younger colt. He spent his days in the sun nursing and getting fat from love where Lai ha barely been tolerated enought to feed. The colt was far from pleased.

(( I just wanted to post this WIP so people could see my writing style and such as I work on it. :3 I'd love to get more RPs with him as I go along. ))

When Finz was born, he had to share his parents with two other brothers which where a few years older. Finz was a small but funny and healthy foal, and he was beloved by the other herdmembers. Everyone liked the tiny chestnut colt, jumping through the grass and making everybody laugh. His oldest brother, Laï, became jealous.....
While Finz became older, more beloved, Laï became more and more jealous of his little brother who got a lot more attention. Laï started to be extremely rude to his brother, and even bit and slapped him with his hoofs. His parents were blind for Finz' torture, believing it was the will of the unicorn god. Only his other brother, Yuan, saw what happened. He tried to stop his oldest brother, but Laï wouldn't listen and became more and more agressive.

A few weeks after his 10th birthday, one day, it went wrong. Laï chased Finz into the forest, with rage in his eyes, wanting only one thing..... Finz' live. He stood there, with his back against a tree, while Laï wanted to attack and take his live. Until Yuan attacked Laï. Finz saw them fighting, while his heartbeat was extremely fast and he couldn't do something. The fight went on for about a few minutes, untill Finz saw Yuan falling to the ground. His eyes wide open, staring into Finz' soul, with no more live in them. Blood came out of his head.

Without thinking, Finz ran further into the forest. He didn't know if Laï was going after him, if his parents knew it already, the only thing he knew that Yuan was dead. And it was his fault.

He kept running and running, eventually getting to the coast on the other side of the island. Luckily he knew how to survive in the forest; he used to be in the forests the most of the time. He lived there for about 15 years, alone, still having nightmares of his dead brother. Untill one day, when he turned 26 years old. He knew he had enough of this life, and he slowly returned to the herd, knowing if Laï and his parents were still there, he would die. When he returned, his herdmembers welcomed him emotionally, knowing his brother was dead. His parents and Laï weren't in the herd. They said they left one day, and never returned. The first years back in the herd he lived full of fear, afraid they would return. But that never happened. His fear went away and Finz started to live a peaceful, but still thinking about his dead brother, live. They would never return......
