Description
Last time, on LIGHTS…“Wait…” She started. I turned over to look at her as she continued.
“W-what did you say it smelled like in your dream?” She questioned, worry on her face and her necklace turning white.
“Uh… Pizza?” I replied, confused. She began to stare at me as if I came from another planet.
“It was a… Golden bear, you said?” She squeaked, having a small panic attack. Oh boy, I'm in for a Bad time.
“Y-yeah, and it turned into a…”
“-a woman and a bear of shadows…” She finished for me. “So that means… t-that… oh god,” She got out shakily.
“That what?” I questioned her, more quiet than usual.
“I-I, um, I mean, uh…” She stuttered. She then took a deep breath in, held it for a second or two, and let it out. She managed to force words out of herself to form a complete question:
“B-by any chance… d-did the silhouettes happen to have a kind of purple hue to them?”
Now, on LIGHTS…
I froze.
Purple…?
A memory came back to me- something that had been happening since I met Frostfire. I was suddenly pulled into a pizzeria, the cheap food smell engulfing me in seconds. A girl- about my age, I remembered- was running towards a room. The information from shortly before the actual memory began told me that she was going to prize corner for truth or dare with the Marionette and Chica- I had told her that I’d be right there, as I was playing arcade games. But then… she stopped. Correction: Lavender stopped. I walked over to her, confused. I was about to ask why she stopped when I spotted her source of confusion.
It was the golden bear from my dream. I would have shuddered had it not been a memory.
Four other kids gathered around. The only girl there- besides Lavender and I- looked at the bear and seemed to recognize it. She jumped up and down in excitement, her Sapphire blue eyes sparkling. The bear made a ‘follow me’ motion and clumsily turned around. I stepped back. I wasn't following that thing, it had just stumbled out of a restricted area!
… That and it seemed to have little to no practice moving, it could fall over and crush me.
One of the kids turned around.
“Ha-harr, look who be playin’ chicken!” The kid was dressed up in Foxy colors, trying to replicate the animatronic’s accent. The golden bear turned around to look at the kid, someone’s sharp red eyes showing in the little light the eyes of the suit provided.
Wait.
Was that a person under there?
Oh hell no, there is NO WAY you are getting me to follow you now, you ugly torn up bear.
The other four kids and Lavender, however, saw nothing wrong, and gladly followed it.
A glint of silver and a purple uniform showed from one of the sides of the suit.
“Fae!!”
I was suddenly snapped out of the trance the memory had put me in by Frostfire’s loud voice.
“Wha-huh?” I looked around, then focused on Frostfire. “What was that?”
“Did they happen to have a purple hue to them?” She asked again. I thought back to my dream. They were indeed a very dark purple.
“Y-yeah, does that mean anything?” I asked cautiously.
“Indeed it does.” She paused for a moment to suck in a breath. “I suggest taking a walk in the woods to clear your mind, you did that freezing-up thing that you do when you get a memory,” she replied.
“Good idea,” I sighed. I shakily got up, heading towards the door. “I'll be back,” I told her.
“Okay, see you later!” She exclaimed.
She’s always so happy…

“Bees! Why did it have to be bees?!” I bolted the forest, exclaiming that same thing over and over. I had to dodge branches, rocks, a pen- okay seriously, why are there pens in this forest?!
A branch smacked my face suddenly, making me look in a different direction.
Light. I saw light. Shelter? A house? I didn't care. I ran towards it, revealing the house the light belonged to shortly after. I jumped over the fence and over the railing of the deck- not noticing the stairs- and ran to the door. The sliding glass door in front of me wasn't locked. I cheered in victory and slid it open. I closed it and locked it right before the bees came at me.
“Hah! Take that! I'm in an abandoned house, what do you have, bees?! I'm a fast runner, you're slow fliers,” I shouted at them, claiming my victory fully. I turned around to look at the interior of the house, expecting covered furniture or a slightly run-down house, or dirt and dust everywhere.
Instead, I got a clean, uncovered, dust-free house.
Well shit, someone lives here, I thought.
...
Oh well, might as well make myself at home.
* * *
I was getting myself something from the little pantry in the room before the garage when I heard the door slide open again. I gasped and hid in the little gap between the wall and the pantry cabinet. I heard the sound of pawsteps on the tile, and then much heavier footsteps. The door slid closed. The person who had walked in sighed heavily. It sounded like a guy... I could be wrong of course.
“Well, at least Springtrap didn't kill me, that's good,” the person said to himself. “What do you think, Molly-girl?” The dog barked at him.
Aww, what a cute name, I thought.
… Wait, who’s Springtrap??
“Yeah, hang on, lemme get a snack, then I'll feed ya,” the guy said to -presumably- the dog. Oh dear. The footsteps got closer, putting me on edge. He walked in front of the pantry and opened it, turning on the light. He grabbed something and closed the door- then he caught sight of me. He froze, his purple eyes dilating in fear.
Another memory came back for a fleeting moment.
The flash of a memory showed me who had been underneath that suit.
This guy looked strikingly similar to the person, although I didn't get a good look.
Why?
Because the person was covered in blood.
The guy backed up. I must’ve had a very angry expression on, because he seemed to be trying to exit the room.
Lavender followed that bear.
I tried to step out.
She was my friend.
I felt my fire ignite in my hand.
And he killed her.
I lunged at him, but fell to the floor. My foot was caught. He shrieked and ran out of the room. I heard him fall over, making an ‘oof’ sound as he did. Then I heard fast scrambling up the stairs. I tried to access the memory again to see if he really was the killer. I succeeded.
The killer was a girl.
Oh.
I got unstuck and ran after him. After making my way up the stairs, I went to the door with a few scratch marks on it. I assumed that was the dog, and went in, turning the light on. I was immediately greeted with the sight of a loft bed, with a shivering pile of blankets on top of it. I assumed that was the guy from earlier. I closed the door and looked up at the shivering blanket ball.
“Hey, are you okay?” I called out to him. No response. “I'm not gonna hurt you.” Still no response. I sighed and climbed up onto the bed. I sat down to let him know I was there, then tried to get the blanket off. He whimpered loudly and kept it over himself. I sighed. I just wanted to know his name… I looked around for anything that would make myself seem like less of a threat.
A dog cage sat under the bed. I got an idea- although I didn't like it too much.
Sighing and deciding to go with the plan, I climbed down and landed on the floor. I then crawled into the cage and locked myself in. I sat there for a moment, then lied down, pretending to sleep. After a few minutes, I heard shifting, and the guy climbing down. I didn't peek. All was silent for a moment.
Then the cage suddenly and loudly unlocked, and there was fast shuffling.
I looked.
He didn't seem to be anywhere nearby…
I crawled out of the dog cage and looked around. He was under an electric piano, shaking lightly and looking at me with intense worry.
I sat down and waved at him.
He pressed against the wall. I sighed.
“I'm not gonna hurt you.” He stayed silent, still staring at me as if I was the little devil himself. “Look, what’s wrong? I'm not mad at you, I just overreacted,” I reassured him. At this, he seemed to relax a little. “Do you think you could tell me your name?” He stayed silent, then scooted forward a bit. He took a shaky breath, then let it out.
“Vincent,” he replied nervously.
