Which is often translated as "you make me smile", but a more literal translation is "You are making for me, my smile".

The "pinky promise" they are doing is a Kroi'viriq, a specific elven practice using their kroizearn, the smallest finger on their left hand. By linking these fingers elves are swearing off their mortal right to lie for the time. Asim promised to never leave Gearheart while they Kroi'viriq.
