Description
Another study of mine. Acrylics on paper. This time, I managed to get the blending much better, probably because of the usage of matte medium (which makes it harder for light to scatter and allows you to see faulty blending more easily,) and because I layered more.
Basically, I used Perylene Maroon (PR179, W&N), "Burnt Sienna" (PR101, Transparent Red Iron Oxide,) "Indian Yellow" (PY 153, Daniel Smith,) Buff Titanium (PW6 + PY42,) Raw Umber (PBr 7,) Titanium White (PW6,) and "Ivory" (Bone) Black (PBk 7.)
The colors were harder to correct, and I couldn't get Perylene Maroon quite right. It's amazing what you can do with a seemingly dull color: the flower is almost the correct hue, only being colder and less orange in the original study.
