Amazing, breath taking work man but I see your trick to avoid drawing them all. Not all those figures were re-drawn you used copy and paste to fill up space, I can see that some of them are the same as others. Good on you though, fucking amazing!

What really gets me is that he took the time to shade EVERY SINGLE BRICK DIFFERENTLY (i zoomed in on it and was filled with awe)..

Massive. I epsecially liked the textures and shading of the fortress. It's also nice how you've depicted the individual archers in different stages of firing.
Maybe for version 2 you'll pump up the scale and have hi-res people?

If I would have asked myself "What form of art could ever catch the sheer size and chaos of the Helm's Deep battle?" I should have known it was going to be pixel art. This is all quite masterful .. and what I really like is that all the orcs scattered around don't simply look like that are "repeated" by a copy and paste method -- they look really random and that definately sets the mood.
Real nice work -- this one's a keeper in my book.

Quite nice, but it's kind of hard to make out the invading orc army.
Defenders are a little over-orderly as well. Technical work is well done, though. Great walls.

Impressive. It's quite a task to get that much detail in a large piece such as this, not to mention all the work on the fortress itself. I like the numerous fires in the fight, including the large one that blew the front of the fortress wide open. The tents, the men, even the stream look great.
The first thing I noticed though is that it's hard to see everything due to the darkness of this pixel art scene. I think it would have been better to make it a bit lighter so that all the details could easily be picked up. Sure, it's a night scene, but I can't really see the right side of the piece at all. Also, more action would be good. Maybe some ladders with orcs climbing. Some fights here and there. Being more accurate with the actual fight scene in the movie would be a plus.
Overall though it's quite an accomplishment. I like the scene and would hope you do more pixel art in the future.
