It may be Tritium a Hydrogen isotope. It tends to glow after it was put into sunlight. The Military is using tritium to light up their sights aswell. Hope i could help

Yea. But its not a huge deal in small amounts (ok lets define small amounts). If you have a watch around with lid numbers, its tritium. It hasn't killed you yet ain't it so? Certain countries have restrictions on the amound of tritium, that is allowed in certain products.Β

Not that I know of. They have to be charged though, I mean, with light. The stronger the light, the stronger the glow!
