These two are (from left to right) Maple and Doug. Maple is a cautious, yet confidently affirming girl in the role of a park ranger making sure any type of wildlife or plants gets protection and care at all costs. Due to her role of being park ranger, she is knowledgeable on plants and wildlife, and she has started to show interest in learning about nature and animals beyond the area she’s protecting. She can be a bit controlling and too sure of herself with others from time to time by showing of her partial neat-freak tendencies, but she would control them on her own and with the help of her pangolin companion Doug.

Doug is the laidback, curious lovable giant and oaf-like pangolin pal of Maple. He met Maple when he was trying to evade poachers from skinning him by hiding in a crate that ended up in the national park that Maple and her family were in charge of protecting. People would mistake him for a big armadillo despite the fact that he’s bigger than most pangolins and armadillos. Despite being mistaken as an armadillo, Doug can role up into a ball and roll as fast as he can. Sometimes Maple would try to balance herself with ease and guide the rolling balled up Doug to the intended direction on where they need to go. Doug can sometimes have certain cravings for bugs, ants, and such if he were ever hungry, but he would have a fondness or eating oranges when peeled since they look like bugs to him.

Together through thick and thin, Maple and Doug do their best to protect their park from all costs and dangers.
