Edit: fixed the reflection on her glasses, some perspective stuff on the console and also added some spaceships and planet on the background, now its clear she is on a spaceship, flying on a mission

Wonderful bright colours and very pretty character! Here`s some advice from me, about skin: I`ve found that when painting skin, the more colour variations you use, the better - it looks more interesting and natural. I think, perhaps, some very transparent green and very bright turqoise highlights and purple shadows will work. Those cold highlights in this particular case should be placed on: the chin, jaw, neck, lower cheek. Push the shadows with purple (you may add and a bit gark green or brown ones) a bit futher on: hair line above the headphones and all the shadows cast by them and the glasses. Here`s some more tips about those damn skin colours: [link] I also think you should darken her arm, where skin is shown, just below the shoulder-... mm, armoury? Aside from that, I can`t deny the scene being very interesting and her eye - painted so beautifully! I hope I was useful

It needs more detailed hair and skin (less plastic). Framing is kinda odd you cannot really tell where she is and what she is looking (unless it is a frame from a storyboard). If you give more room for the background and or the foreground it will be easier to decide what to blur to create a good depth of field.

Nice coloring and cool lighting a bit overdone though in some areas.

This looks so great Irene, although I think the hair should be softer and freer.
About blurring, it depends on what you want to focus on. If you want to focus on the girl, then blur the rest. The farther things are, the blurrier they are. Just make sure you keep the blurriness under control and don't overuse it .

It seems that you can paint everything now. I've been never brave enough to do such character portraits at such a close distance cuz I paint faces so badly.
