Description I wanted to put armor on Castiel and I've been looking all over for a drawing/fanart of this moment where I can actually 'see' a Castiel instead of white light. Angels (for me anyway) are androgynous creatures hence man!skirt and I gave Cas black hair here because no matter how androgynous he/she/it is, part of me insists that the vessel bears some resemblance (no matter how slight) to the angel he hosts.

I think Castiel has a high enough rank so I decided to upgrade his armor from a common foot soldier (mostly inspired by Ancient Rome *cough* It's an excuse to put Cas in a skirt *cough* ). Also didn't give him a sword just because I want it different, so I gave him a huge axe.

Also, I remember reading somewhere that Kripke said the reason Cas wears the trench coat all the time is because Cas believes his wings are ugly. It might be a joke or random comment on his part, but I find it interesting. So I took liberty in tainting Castiel's wings and imagining he didn't really get out of hell unscathed.

Oh wow! That, my dear, is a wonderful concept. And I never knew that about Castiel's wings, so the fact you've taken that idea and run with it is really very unique.

To me too, the dark bit on his right shoulder, maybe shadow or maybe the remnants of his demonic transformation purified by Cas? Heh, I may be reading waaaaaaaay too deep into that, but still. ^^

All in all, fantastic work. I'm loving it, and intant For the record, Cas in a manskirt? Very, very nice

And oh, okay... either the Kripke comment is related to Misha's answer or it's just plain Misha being Misha when he said the wings might be ugly. Either way, it's a very interesting concept I'd love to find in a fic and have been looking for since ever.
