Yes, this was a scene from chapter 10 of Loor101's audio series, Letting Go of Hope. I couldn't stop picturing Sonic's face while he was thinking, which inspired me to draw it. It's been way too long since I drew Sonic, or listen to an audio series like this one. If you haven't heard it yet, I recommend you listen/watch it.
