uhmm...i spent my whole freshman year HATING painting. started this when i got home. disliked it for the first week, then started to REALLY like it, and haven't worked on it for a while.
it WILL be finished.
i'm relishing the fact that i don't have deadlines just now

i love the way it moves in and out of focus, especially the part over the bottom of the nose and lips. if it were mine, i'd almost find something for a background, and put that into extreme detail. or atleast play around with the idea.

I think you have an excellent start on it, the colors you've chosen and the way you've blended them have made an excellent texture. I also like the position of the figure, it's more interesting than a straight on shot.
