Edit: DD, unexpected but appreciated. Thanks for all your feedback, my apologies for not necessarily answering to each comment, unless they happen to include a question. Bit busy lately, but everything written my way is always read & of course appreciated.

I didnΒ΄t really keep track, the background extraction on the original gate-photo took the longest, that was done on two different nights, and the rest of the assembly on one go later on. Hmm, about 8 hours total maybe. I always do a million different things while IΒ΄m on the computer, so canΒ΄t say how much was exactly used creating this.

Up to the viewer to decide, I donΒ΄t believe in heaven or hell so itΒ΄s more of a surreal vision or some space inside my head rather than something biblical.

Biblical smiblical. Heaven doesn't have to belong to a single religion. Nay, it doesn't even have to belong to religion. Heaven is, and will always be, a personal paridise. To me, that etherial gate, illuminated by some unknown entity, that underlooks a close up of a full moon gives me a slight impression that this could be a glimps of my paradise through your eyes.
I'm an odd fellow when it comes to this stuff (fantasy, science, and religion), but, once I elaborate extencivly, I become a bit more understandable.
In any case, this is a wicked piece, and is a handsome addiction to my little fav gallery.

The foreground would pretty much be pitch-black if the light would be realistic, strong moon like that would only light up the outlines of anything in the foreground. But much better with this more unrealistic approach, one can actually see whatΒ΄s in the pic this way, haha.
