This is a great work! I love how you made it look like either a photograph from the 50s or an illustration from a century old book. It gives the deviation "class" in my opinion, and shows off your character in a equilibrium light. (Oh god, I hope I used that word right... don't want to go to hell for bad grammar!)

But for the splatter I use a verry old tooth brush ^^ it's really simple like this ! x3
and for the grey scale, I just dilute the ink with more or less water ! x3 but search some tutorial for china ink in google ! ^^ there have good ones ! x3

I've used calligraphy ink and a straw squished at the tip and then you BLOW. It's an awesome effect but a hot damn mess. XD
