Well this is the first I've heard about it at all other than a very brief and vague mention of a new Zelda after Skyward Sword that they said, quote: "would be a game where having 3D would actually mean something" And I was like hmmmmmm, 3DS? I hope not XP

The only reason I want a 3DS is so I can play Dream Drop Distance and OoT 3D! Oh, and the new Pokemon generation in October.
I also think that having it on the Wii U would be much better because it has a much stronger processor and a larger screen, so there would be better graphics. Also, the games that are typically on the hand-held consoles aren't usually more than 5 or 6 small dungeons. They were planning 8 or so non-linear dungeons that are larger than OoT's Hyrule Field. Each. That means that you have dungeons that are about 15x larger than the ones in OoT which were some of the toughest, longest ones in the series' history. Then they were also planning a much longer storyline, as I've heard bit, again, I don't know for sure.

Longer than OOT? Yeah I thought the storyline for OOT was one of the shortest, with SS probably being the longest. And yes, if they decide to make a new Zelda with Final Fantasy graphics, a larger screen would be way better. How could you fully experience such awesomeness on one little tiny 3DS screen? you CAN'T, and the sound system? That has to be able to be as awesome as possible (ahem, surround sound baby!) But then, does that mean they'll be adding a 3D capability to the Wii U? Or will it be associated with those 3D TVs?...So many questions...

Yes, if they put it onto a hand held console, the game will have lower quality graphics and it will be much shorter. Also, we won't be able to see Link's beautiful face in HD!
I don't think they will make a 3D feature for the Wii U but I did hear this. I also heard that they might make 2 games! One for Wii U and one for 3DS. The 3DS one will most likely be an addition to the adult era while the Wii U game will be the much anticipated one in the child era. ... Idk, just a guess. XD

oooomg really?? Those were way longer than OOT O_O and they're going to make them LONGER?? yesssss I love spending hours working to the ultimate goal XD It keeps me going haha. Man now I'm uber excited to find out more about this!

Way is an understatement. The Fire Temple in Twilight Princess was about twice as long as the one in OoT! And did I mention that they were gonna be non-linear?

Well, the good thing is that you can solve the dungeons in more ways than one! They started that a tiny bit in SS but not much.

haha I noticed that! It made the dungeons a lot more interesting, and for diehard Zelda fans who've played all or most of the games in the series, that's EXACTLY what we want!

That's one of the many reasons SS did so well! Well, that and the beautiful graphics, incredible storyline and character development, and new ways of playing the game. ^_^
We also want new items! Keep the bow and shield of course but bring back either the lantern or the dual grappling hook! That would be great!

I knoooow O_O I don't even know how they managed to make a Zelda related to OOT so creepy. But then again, the Bottom of the Well and the Shadow Temple were a lot more horror-movie-like XD
